Product Description

Dosage form and Strength of ADGEF 250mg (Gefitinib) Tablet:
It is a film coated tablet.
Each film coated tablet contains Gefitinib IP 250mg.

Mechanism of Action of ADGEF 250mg (Gefitinib) Tablet:
It inhibits the intracellular phosphorylation of numerous tyrosine kinases associated with transmembrane cell surface receptors, including the tyrosine kinases associated with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR-TK).
EGFR is expressed on the cell surface of many normal cells and cancer cells.
In other words, it is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of a certain naturally occurring substance that may be needed to help cancer cells multiply.

It is to be used orally.
